PCA Skin Chemical Peels exfoliate the skin, treat acne, hyper-pigmentation and help reduce pore size and post-acne scarring.
Book Chemical Peel TreatmentIf you have aging skin, hyper-pigmentation, acne, rosacea PCA chemical peel skin treatments may be the perfect solution to these skin issues. The treatment works to combat signs of aging skin by texturing, smoothing out wrinkles, fine lines, and dull sagging skin. A detailed skin analysis will determine the best peel for your skin type and condition. Most peels are gentle and cause little burning or stinging sensations on the skin.
What Is the PCA Skin Peel Procedure?
PCA Skin peels aren’t timed or neutralized and are left on the skin. The product will penetrate and treat the outer and deeper layers of the skin at a cellular level. The number of layers applied depends on your sensitivity to the treatment, along with the treatment protocol. After your peel treatment, nutritive topicals and calming, broad spectrum SPF products are applied to leave your skin hydrated and glowing. Using sunscreen after your chemical peel is mandatory.
What Preparations Should I Make Before Treatment?
There are certain things to avoid before undergoing a chemical peel procedure. These include:
- Avoid use of Accutane for 3 months prior to treatment
- Avoid tanning to the treatment area (tanning beds, spray tan, sun)
- Stop the use of exfoliants (including Renova, Glycolic Acid) on the treatment area one week prior to treatment
- Avoid chemical or mechanical irritants one week prior to treatment
- If you are pregnant or nursing you are not able to undergo a chemical peel treatment
What Happens Post-Treatment?
You may experience some mild redness, similar to a sunburn for a few minutes up to 24 hours. You may apply aloe vera or cold compress to alleviate these irritations. Flaking and dryness is also common and should resolve within one week. It is important to avoid direct sunlight and apply sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher. You should also avoid excessive heat, hot showers and exercise for at least 24 hours because internal heat can cause hyperpigmentation. Use cool water and gentle cleansers for 48 hours. Do not apply makeup until redness has subsided. Avoid the use of exfoliants and chemical/mechanical irritants for one week post-treatment.
