The treatment

Before your session, the treatment area will be cleansed, and you may be asked to shave the area 24 hours prior to your appointment.
This ensures the laser can effectively target the hair follicle without surface interference. Your provider will also adjust the laser settings to match your specific skin tone and hair type.
During the session, your provider will use a handheld laser device to deliver targeted light energy to the treatment area. You may feel a slight snapping or warming sensation as the laser works, but most patients find the procedure tolerable.
Cooling technology is often integrated into the device to enhance comfort. Sessions typically last 15–60 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated.
After the treatment, your skin may appear slightly red or feel warm, similar to a mild sunburn. These effects are temporary and usually resolve within a few hours.
Your provider will apply soothing products and recommend avoiding sun exposure and heat for 24–48 hours. Over the following weeks, treated hair will gradually fall out, and new growth will be finer and lighter.
