Botox is an FDA-approved cosmetic treatment that is used to relax facial lines in order to eliminate wrinkles. By relaxing the facial muscles to reduce excess movements in the face, Botox prevents new lines from forming, leaving your skin smoother and younger looking.
The treatment
As it is non-surgical and non-invasive, the effects of Botox will last 3-4 months.
Botox injections block muscle contractions beneath the skin to stop wrinkles from forming. These injections can also reduce clenching in jaw muscles to alleviate migraines and similar headaches.

Your visit
Before your Botox treatment, you’ll meet with a licensed physician assistant for a consultation.
During this time, we’ll discuss your aesthetic goals, review your medical history, and determine the areas to treat. This step ensures a personalized plan tailored to your needs.
On the day of treatment, the targeted areas will be cleansed, and we’ll ensure you’re comfortable.
A topical numbing cream may be applied if needed, although the procedure is generally well-tolerated with minimal discomfort.
The procedure itself is quick, typically taking 10-20 minutes. Small, precise injections are administered into the targeted muscles using a very fine needle.
You may feel a slight pinching sensation, but discomfort is minimal and brief.
After treatment, you can immediately resume most daily activities. Minor redness or swelling may occur but usually subsides within a few hours.
For best results, avoid rubbing the area, lying down, or engaging in strenuous activity for 24 hours. Results start appearing within 3-5 days and fully settle in about 1-2 weeks, lasting approximately 3-4 months.

The number of Botox units needed for a treatment varies based on the treatment area, muscle strength, and individual goals. On average, forehead lines typically require 10-20 units, frown lines between the eyebrows usually need 15-25 units, and crow’s feet around the eyes often take 5-15 units per side. During your consultation, our experienced practitioner will assess your facial muscles and customize a treatment plan to ensure natural-looking results.
To ensure the best results, avoid touching or rubbing the treated area for at least 4 hours and remain upright during that time to prevent the Botox from spreading. Refrain from strenuous exercise, facials, or skin treatments for 24 hours, and avoid alcohol or blood-thinning medications like aspirin or ibuprofen to minimize bruising. It’s normal to experience slight redness, swelling, or mild bruising at the injection sites, which typically resolves within a day or two. Botox treatments typically last 3 to 4 months, depending on individual factors such as metabolism, lifestyle, and the treatment area. Over time, you may notice gradual muscle activity returning as the Botox wears off, which can cause fine lines and wrinkles to reappear.
