Burke sits about seven miles south of us, and Elume Medspa is the medical spa many of its residents drive to instead of heading toward Tysons or into Alexandria. We are a small nurse practitioner led practice in the city of Fairfax, treating Northern Virginia patients since 2009. Injectables, lasers and radiofrequency work all happen under the care of Shaheen Ghafari, a licensed Nurse Practitioner, in one private suite on Blenheim Blvd.
Getting up here from Burke
Most patients travelling from Burke come north on Burke Lake Road, cut across Guinea Road onto Braddock Road, and follow Roberts Road to the edge of old town Fairfax. That is roughly seven miles and lands somewhere around fifteen to twenty minutes in ordinary traffic, though a weekday evening on the Braddock Road corridor can stretch it. The Beltway plays no part in the trip, and neither does the Fairfax County Parkway unless you want it. There is a free lot at the building and a ground-floor entrance when you arrive.

Our services need clinical oversight, and that is what separates them from a spa facial:

Saturdays and the school calendar
Burke runs on a family schedule, and our hours were set with that in mind: Monday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Saturday slots are the ones patients from Burke ask for most, so they fill first, and booking a week or two ahead is the reliable way to get one. If a weekday morning works once the school buses have gone, those are usually the quietest hours in the suite.

Closer is not the same as better once a needle or a laser is involved. This practice has been in Fairfax since 2009, holds a 4.6-star Google rating from more than 45 reviewers, and sits every patient down with a licensed Nurse Practitioner before anything is scheduled. That consultation is free and it is a genuine assessment: if a treatment will not do what you are hoping for, we would rather say so than take the booking. It is also the same practitioner each time you come in, so nobody has to re-explain their history to a new face at every appointment, and a plan built over several visits stays coherent.

How far is the drive from Burke?
About seven miles, or fifteen to twenty minutes for most people. Burke Lake Road to Guinea Road to Braddock Road is the usual line, then Roberts Road toward the old downtown.
Do you have Saturday appointments?
We do. The suite is open on Saturdays from 10am to 5pm, the same as every other day of the week apart from Sunday.
Is the first visit a consultation or a treatment?
For injectables it is always a consultation first. Several device treatments can be booked directly if you already know what you want, and the scheduling page shows which ones.
